From a University Project to a Purpose-Driven Brand
Comfybum started as a students led-social project by Enactus UPRH to solve two growing problems in Puerto Rico: the overpopulation of stray dogs and the rising number of discarded tires. What began as a class idea has grown into a social enterprise with a mission to care for pets, people, and the planet.
Who We Are
We’re animal lovers, students, and creators committed to building something better. ComfyBum was co-founded by Gloridie and Felix—two university students who dreamed of creating a product that brings comfort to pets and helps communities at the same time.
Who Makes Our Beds
Each ComfyBum bed is made in Puerto Rico by students from night schools. We believe in second chances—so we partner with young people who are working hard to complete their education while earning income. Every bed supports local talent and builds real-world experience.
How We Help the Planet
Instead of using foam or plastic, we fill every ComfyBum with 100% recycled tire material. This reduces waste, lowers carbon emissions, and helps turn pollution into something positive. So far, we’ve recycled over 3,000 tires and counting!

To create a comfortable, safe space for every pet—and a better future for our island. We believe sustainability, social justice, and animal care can all fit in the same bed. And every ComfyBum sold helps prove it.
